2019 is about to end in a week. But before we bid goodbye to this year, here is a look back at what happened in the world of Philippine Radio. This year’s PRR is divided into 3 parts. For this part, we’ll travel back to 10 years ago, that is 2009. We’ll discuss the 9 stations which either made its debut or met its demise.
1. iFM gets new slogan
March: After years I! FM adapted a new slogan Sa iFM, Sigurado Enjoy Ka!.
2. Campus Radio’s Online Return
Campus Radio Online (CTTO)
March 21: Campus Radio returned on air, albeit as an internet station. John Hendrix & The Triggerman manned the station.
3. From WRock to Easy Rock
96.3 Easy Rock (MBC)
May 19: 96.3 WRock in Manila changed its name to Easy Rock months after it was acquired by Manila Broadcasting Company and adapted a new slogan
