Prima Donnas Extends to Saturdays

Starting this week, Prima Donnas extends its airtime to Saturday.

When it first premiered on August 19, 2019, its rival Kadenang Ginto was the highest rating daytime series. Despite performing well with an average of 6-7% (based on AGB Nielsen NUTAM), Prima Donnas was still 2-3% short of the rival. By the middle of October 2019, a couple of weeks after Kadenang Ginto lost steam, the series started pushing the latter to the limit. By late November, it took over as the highest rating daytime series and currently maintains an average of 7-10%. This paved way for the resurgence of Afternoon Prime. The success of the Prima Donnas led them to take over Magkaagaw’s timeslot on Saturdays.

With the Prima Donnas as the current top rater in the afternoons, it will be a challenge for them to dominate over It’s Showtime on Saturdays. After the shocking…
