First aired on September 16, 2019, The Gift stars Alden Richards as Sep who got separated from his mother at a young age & grew up living a simple life in Divisoria with his adoptive family. His life changed when he gets in a near-death experience, resulting to his loss of vision. This gave him the ability to see things beyond the naked eye.

The series initially performed well, averaging within 10-12% (based on AGB Nielsen NUTAM) and came close to defeating The General’s Daughter a few times. However, the emergence of Starla changed the series’ fortunes. Since then, the series declined to around 8-9% throughout the rest of its run and ended up losing to Starla and Make It With You.
