Madrasta’s Final Stand

The battle between the good stepmother & the evil wife continues as Madrasta is on its final week.

First aired on October 7, 2019, Madrasta stars Arra San Agustin as Audrey, whose life changed when she enters the lives of Sean, portrayed by Juancho Trivino, and his ex-wife Katharine, portrayed by Thea Tolentino. It is loosely based on the 1996 movie of the same title, starring Sharon Cuneta & Christopher De Leon. The series marks Arra’s first leading role.

The series hovered within 4-6% (based on AGB Nielsen NUTAM) throughout its run. While it initially struggled to dominate, since the end of November, it usually won over Sandugo. Madrasta benefited from the success of Prima Donnas, which has been the highest rating daytime series since late November. That helped save the series from getting axed at an earlier date.
