The (mis)adventures of Puto and Uno are coming to an end tomorrow.
First aired on April 26, 2021, the series sequel of Puto stars Herbert Bautista, reprising his title role, along with McCoy de Leon as his son Uno, a bullied teen who’s half-dwende and has magical powers like his father. This marked McCoy’s first main project with Viva. The series scored a mere 1-2% (based on AGB Nielsen NUTAM). It will close another chapter with 13 episodes.
The sequel is as enjoyable as the movie, albeit with a modern take. McCoy, who starred in a number of miniseries in Wansapanatayn, proved that he’s no slouch when it comes to comedy fantasy. Bistek’s return to comedy is worth the price of admission. Even the supporting stars, including the Beks Batallion’s portrayal of the elves-turned-humans and part of the original cast, added a lot of flavor to the series.
