Series about siblings and their hardships have been a trend on TV for several years. Another one of its kind will hit afternoon TV with Las Hermanas.
The upcoming series stars Yasmien Kurdi, Thea Tolentino and Faith Da Silva as the titular characters, along with Albert Martinez and Jason Abalos. With Afternoon Prime retaining its reputation as a platform for its up & coming stars, the series marks Faith’s first leading role. This also marks Albert’s first series with the network after 16 years.
Las Hermanas tells the story of the Manansala sisters Dorothy (Yasmien), Minnie (Thea), and Scarlet (Faith), all who have their own traits and ambitions. Dorothy, the eldest of the daughters, does everything for her sisters to have a good life. Minnie, the vengeful daughter, does everything to destroy her sisters’ dreams. Scarlet, the ambitious daughter, learns to accept the risks in achieving her dream.
